A man suspected of killing at least five people by driving into Christmas market shoppers in Germany is reportedly a supporter of Elon Musk, according to the German publication Der Spiegel.

Local media identified the suspect as Taleb al-Abdulmohsen, a 50-year-old Saudi doctor, though German authorities referred to him only as Taleb A.

Social media users noted that an X account allegedly linked to the murderer had posted content expressing support for Musk and the far-right German political party AfD (Alternative for Germany). The publication also reported that the suspect was an admirer of Elon Musk.

The suspect, according to Der Spiegel, said: “What Musk says, what Alex Jones says, or anyone who is labeled a radical or a right-wing extremist by mainstream media—they’re telling the truth.”

Other social media users highlighted the killer`s alleged admiration for Musk.

Shashank Joshi of The Economist shared a post on X stating that the suspect was “a fan of Elon Musk and his friends Tommy Robinson and the AfD, it seems.”
